People’s Art Group of Ukraine dance ensemble “Joy” KZ “Vinnytsia City Palace of Children and Youth. L.Ratushna ”has just returned from an extremely interesting trip to Italy and Austria, where he took part in the International Folklore Festivals.
The festival in Italy was held in the northern region of Italy, which is called Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Bands from Kazakhstan, Serbia, Sardinia and local Italian bands took part in the festival. Every evening concerts took place in different cities of the region: Pardenone, Capriva del Friuli, Udine, Arta Terme and Cormons. Each of these cities is an open-air museum. After all, many of them have preserved many ancient architectural monuments. In Udine, the concert took place on the territory of an ancient castle. In some cities, concerts were held in local theaters or in the central squares of cities.
Many Ukrainians came to our concerts from all over northern Italy. One woman said she took a day off to be able to attend a performance by a Ukrainian band.
Here is what Svitlana Chumachenko, our compatriot from Vinnytsia, who has lived in Italy for many years, wrote on Facebook: “Municipal Council of Cormons. No free space! Saturated program! Children from all over the world danced 100%! And at the end, after a two-hour program, Ukraine was announced … “JOY” (the name of the folk ensemble from Ukraine) And everyone, immediately after the first “Pa”, understood why the people of Vinnytsia closed the festival! This is the first time I have seen such a reaction from the Italians! Throughout the performance, the applause did not stop! PEOPLE, it was great !!!!! SUCCESS! DELIGHT! My Bruno said: “Now I understand why Ukraine closed the festival! If they opened … others would have no chance of applause, even though all the children are great! THANK YOU “JOY” !!! YOU ARE OUR PRIDE!
All the concerts of “Joy” in Italy were held to applause and shouts of “bravo”. The children also visited Venice, swam in the Adriatic Sea.
From Italy, Radist went to Austria, where she took part in the XXV International Folklore Festival in Seeboden. Bands from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, India, Paraguay and Austria took part in the festival. Ukraine was represented by Vinnytsia’s Radist.
This was the team’s first trip to Austria. Austria is an extremely beautiful country, which combines the beautiful architecture of Austrian towns and villages, the high mountains of the Alps, large clear lakes, steep mountain rivers, waterfalls, as well as hospitable Austrian inhabitants.
